Suspected militants kill eight in Lagos, Ogun communities

Eight

No fewer than eight persons have been killed by suspected militants in Ogun State.
The killings were reportedly carried out on Thursday night in Igbo Olomu, Bolorunduro, Ajegunle, and Oke Muti, boundary communities of Lagos and Ogun states.

Confirming the attack, a resident from one of the affected communities, Giwa Bola said, “I have seen four corpses. The militants have declared war on us.”

This follows an earlier report of shootings by suspected militant group in Ikorodu Local Government Area, of Lagos State.

The gunmen suspected to be militants were said to have stormed Igbolomu and Ishawo areas in the local government from the Niger Delta region through the water channels and shooting sporadically.
